The night Burger King ruined my cheese documentary 🇬🇧

A cosy night, a cheese documentary, and then—horror. One revolting Burger King advert later, my appetite vanished, my evening was ruined, and a family-wide fast-food ban was declared. Curious how a single commercial pushed me to the brink? Click in… if you dare.

Retirees and digital IDs 🇬🇧🇫🇷

Between the sudden winter chill, a swarm of hyper-motivated retirees, a Christmas market rising from the ground, and the glorious failure of France’s digital IDs, my morning turned into a full-blown administrative comedy. Come read how, at 72, I managed to be too modern for the post office.

Mon pote Renaud 🇫🇷

Venez découvrir Renaud, le pilote qui disait oui à toutes les motos que personne n’osait toucher — surtout cette Kawasaki JBB 750 H2, un prototype aussi stable qu’un frigo sur roulettes. A new beginning: The book of souvenirs

I’ve finally begun my Book of Souvenirs—though “book” might be a generous term for what’s currently a growing pile of unclassified notes. They’re scattered thoughts, half-remembered stories, and moments I don’t want to lose to time.

To keep them safe (and my desk somewhat tidy), I’ve launched a new blog: www.sauvageraie.fr. The name Sauvageraie carries deep nostalgia—it was the house where I grew up, just outside Paris. Every time I see the word, I’m back among creaking staircases, sunlit summers, and the scent of the garden after rain. It’s also where those unforgettable teenage kisses simply happened.

It feels like the perfect place to gather my memories as I slowly turn them into a book worth reading.
